What a big day I got!

First time I heard that there will be a running event called Terry Fox Run, I got excited. It wasn't because of the community hours like most of others need since I've completed that task last sem. I was so excited to join because I've never been to Lake Garden before and that was a perfect event to accomplish my dream exploring that garden. In a normal situation, I need to spend RM 50 just to go there and walking around... My first motive to join this Terry Fox is by buying the T-shirt, I'd get a free transport to there and to get back here, to condo, and the most important, a reason to go. So one week since it was written at BB, I bought the T-shirt.

It became an event that I couldn't wait anymore, when trekking schedule to Nuang was canceled and assignments from all subjects were collected every single day. I became more and more crazy about this event since I haven't been to anywhere, except for shopping, and done a sport for 2 and half months. I used to have trekking at least once a month but there was no trekking since fasting. What's more, I couldn't get a free day in my ten days holidays. You can say that this was my last change to explore a place!

Terry Fox Run was held today(Sunday) and I still struggling with my assignment even now. It wont be finish before the final test.

Yesterday evening, I got a small problem that made me feel hate to sleep. I just didn't want my sleep makes me forget about the issue. So I started download anything that could accompanied me until morning. I successfully did it until 5.30 am.
I should gathered at Foyer at 6.45 am, which mean I still had an hour before it. I think a big day of my day was begun when I think I can sleep and wake up in an hour. He3... I missed the bus. I wake up at 7.14 am and reached the foyer at 7.30. My Bad.

Knowing that for the first time, I was left over, I think I just need to forget about it and continued my assignments. But, indeed of trying to open my books and laptop to start working, I spend 20 minutes, thinking really hard whether I should catch up with the bus or forget about it.

....
Hey, I won't miss my last opportunity, right?
I called a taxi and went to Lake Garden all by myself.
Well, like I said before, I don't care about the community hour, but as an CIMPan, my present should be told to a lecturer or I couldn't have a transport back to condo. I won't spend more extra money just because I didn't say that I was there and I need a transport to go back.
I met Mr. Murphy. I asked him what is my task and joint my group at point 14. Point 14 is a special place because there are two main routes that could be took. One is shorter 2 km than other. Our tasks were offering water and shouting the routes. I spend around 2 hours shouting "long run..short run..!". Nothing to say about this job, except I need to do it to get the free bus.

All the runners finished at 10 am and so did our job. We gathered at the starting that also finishing point, waiting for the bus. I did ask 4 people about the time that the bus promised to pick them up and four of them did say that it was 1 pm. I looked at my phone and saw it was 11 am. 2 more hours before the promising time.

I spent 15 minutes sitting there and get really bored. I gave my number to a person who I'll said my new sem friend and told her and her friends to call me when they heard the bus is coming. I did no bother to much to give my number to all people, but.. Hey, I'm not a new face to my new sem friends!

OK..
I walked around the Lake Garden. I went to the lake, museum, planetarium, deer house, bird house, orchid house, and on my way to butterfly park, I was stooped by a waiting driver and spent 30 minutes chatting with him. He wouldn't stop talking, if I didn't said that I'll miss the bus if I don't hurry back to starting point.
It was 12.20 and I already should faced my nightmare. I was left again! The second time in a day! I asked a group of people who wear Terry Fox's T-shirt and seems like the organizers whether they know where the CIMPan go. No one knew.

I get frustrated and irritated with the fact that I couldn't call any of CIMPan numbers and a taught that I need to pay a transport fee back to condo.
I was on my way, searching a CIMPan number that went to Terry Fox, by asking CIMPan that wasn't participate, when a guy with Terry Fox T-shirt and a box of left over breads, came and said that all CIMPan were left with the buses. It made clear to me that I should think about how I suppose to get back.

That guy offered me a ride to condo. I just accept his kindness.

He introduced me to two other people and asked me to join a last run of Terry Fox Run 2007. From what I heard from our conversation along "The Terry Fox 2007 Last Run", I know they know each other because they took a part in organizing this event.

Some facts I got from them:
- there was a rehearsal on Saturday about the routes.
- there were 10 people came to rehearsal and more than 200 marshals come today.
-someone put a wrong destination arrow and the route was changed unexpectedly.
- the foods are bananas, high5 breads, muffins, bread papa, and candies.
- the first gone was banana and muffin.

On the way back, they talked about their job that reminded me with the accuracy of my OB' project. They also gave me their card!

Well I feel I get a problem with CIMP today, but what was happening was just exciting and fun.
At the end, today, I participated as a marshal and a runner of Terry Fox Run 2007.
